The last budget lens from Canon that I reviewed was the interesting Canon RF 16mm F2.8 STM, a wide angle prime with both big flaws (huge barrel distortion, heavy vignette) but also big strengths (good autofocus, good sharpness and color). Like that lens, the new RF 28mm F2.8 STM comes to market at a price point of $299 USD, which means that

They can be found for around $200 used. Thank you! Thinking of going for the 24mm right now as it seems the best fit for me. Canon ef-s 24 mm f/2.8; my favorite walk around lens; Canon ef-s 10-18 mm f/4.5-5.6 not ideal for indoors; but tack sharp and wonderful for landscape photography on a Canon apsc camera like the 7d mii.

After a couple of months with the EF-S 24mm f2.8 STM lens, I give it an official review. If you like this video give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my chann

The Rokinon/Samyang AF 35mm f/2.8 FE isn’t quite as slim as the Canon 40mm f/2.8 pancake, but it certainly comes close. This is a Sony e-mount lens that will make your Sony full frame camera feel more like a compact camera, and it makes an excellent standard lens on any Sony APS-C body too. Highly Recommended. The distinct wavy shape of the elements enables the RF 28mm f/2.8 STM lens to replicate the shorter incidence angle of the EF 40mm f/2.8 STM lens on EOS R mirrorless cameras. The most prominent
RF 28mm f/2.8 STM Pancake - $299. It looks like it'll be a pretty sharp lens for the money. This is the lens I’ve been waiting for! A 30mm lens cap lens is great fun for snapshots but the vignetting and purple fringing limit its usefulness. This is going to be epic and I want one yesterday.

The Updated Nikon Z Lens Roadmap. The following is the latest version of the Nikon Z lens roadmap. It was officially released in September of 2023, and it’s still current as of January 2024. However, it’s a roadmap in name only. As you can see, just one lens remains to be announced: The only remaining unannounced lens is: A 35mm S-line lens.

The Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM wide-angle lens is the ideal entry focal length into the world of ultra wide-angle photography. A compact, fixed focal length 24mm lens equipped with Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer technology that offers up to 4 stops of shake correction along with a ring-type USM and advanced CPU with optimized AF algorithms The lens in question (as in title) is a Canon EF-S 24mm f/2,8 STM. This isn't really a wide angle lens, it is more of a general purpose walk about lens on your camera. The focal length, 24mm, indicates the field of view and the smaller the number the more "wide angle" it is. The standard Canon kit lens, 18-55mm, is wider angle at the 18mm end. The 18mm of the Fake Leica brand is all plastic, it seems like a toy. You can still achieve good work with that lens but the price is crazy. I am selling it if you want it. The Canon 24mm pancake lens is made in Malaysia, it is all plastic but the price is cheap and the results are great.
The 24mm ƒ/2.8 STM will not mount on regular Canon EF-mount bodies, but provides a similar field of view to its full-frame pancake-style brother -- almost 40mm. The lens takes 52mm filters, does

FYI, it's about a very small Pancake Lens Design, and for the record, the Contax 45/2.8 Tessar is a) very fiddly so i sold it back into the 90s as example and b) not a 35mm focal length Lens. The ES-52 Lens Hood from Canon is designed to fit the Canon 40mm EF f/2.8mm STM, EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM, and EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lenses. Lens hoods offer protection from unwanted light entering your lens and causing glare, especially when shooting toward your light source. They also offer a degree of physical protection for your lens
Credit: Andy Westlake. Canon has taken the wraps off its smallest RF-mount lens to date, with the Canon RF 28mm F2.8 STM being an ultra-compact ‘pancake’ design that’s less than 25mm long and weighs just 120g. This means that it’s slimmer than the likes of the RF 50mm F1.8 STM and RF 16mm F2.8 STM, which were the smallest RF lenses
